Flanders Film Fest fetes Zanucks'

Producers to receive Joseph Plateau Lifetime Achievement Award

HOLLYWOOD -- Oscar-winning producers Richard Zanuck and Lili Fini Zanuck are to receive the Joseph Plateau Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding work in motion pictures at the Flanders Intl. Film Fest opening gala Oct. 9.

Two of Hollywood's respected members, the Zanucks produced 1989 Academy Award winner "Driving Miss Daisy." Dick Zanuck is producer of the upcoming "The Planet of the Apes," while Lili Zanuck is working on Disney's "Reign of Fire" starring Matthew McConaughey.

"We are delighted to have them participating in this year's festival, receiving the highest film honor in Benelux," said fest secretary general Jacques Dubrulle.

There will also be an eight-film retrospective of their work including "Daisy," "Jaws," "The French Connection," "Patton" and "Cocoon."
