Inside Move: Slimmer ATG cuts two exex

Anklings reflect leaner times, insiders say

Two key execs at Artists Television Group have quietly left the company.

Nina Lederman, ATG's original senior VP of development, has ankled after failing to reach agreement on a new deal. She is not expected to be immediately replaced. Senior VP of casting Dawn Steinberg has exited after ATG execs decided a full-time head of casting was no longer needed after it downsized its production roster. She had six months left on her two-year deal.

ATG insiders said both departures reflect the company's smaller size vs. last season, when ATG had four new shows on the air and two midseason replacements in the works. This fall, ATG has "The Ellen Show" on CBS and a reality project at the WB; Frog also has ordered an ATG laffer featuring Cedric the Entertainer.

It's possible at least one other exec may ankle in coming weeks, but ATG insiders said no mass layoffs are planned. ATG prexy Eric Tannenbaum declined comment.
