Acad sets Oscar event sked

First deadline is Dec. 3 for award consideration

HOLLYWOOD -- The schedule of voting events for the 74th annual Academy Awards was unveiled Monday by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Sked is as follows:

Dec. 3: Deadline for receipt of official screen credit forms to qualify feature films for award consideration.

Dec. 31: Awards year ends at midnight.

Jan. 8: Nominations ballots mailed.

Feb. 1: Nomination polls close at 5 p.m. PST.

Feb. 12: Noms announced at 5:30 a.m. PST at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Feb. 27: Final ballots mailed.

March 2: Scientific and technical awards presentation at 6 p.m. PST at the Beverly Wilshire.

March 11: Nominees luncheon, Beverly Hilton.

March 19: Final polls close at 5 p.m. PST.

March 24: Oscarcast.
