"These two documentaries represent an important first step in co-production between Singapore and Canada," said Lim Hock Chuan, CEO of the Singapore Broadcasting Authority. He added that co-productions allow the industry in Singapore to "broaden its exposure, upgrade and create quality programs that can travel globally."
The SBA worked closely with Telefilm Canada to broker the deal.
The documentaries will air on Channel NewsAsia in Singapore and on Discovery Network's History Channel in Canada as part of docu series "Scarred by History."
