Czech's TV3's Obrman exits
World Brief
Obrman guided TV3's relaunch as a regional station aimed at young adult viewers just over a year ago.
But the station failed to acquire the additional frequencies needed to become a national broadcaster. Obrman was considered to be too closely aligned with opposition politicians; while he denied that charge, it affected decisions made by the politically appointed media council.
Obrman has been replaced by news editor Jan Martinek.
Separately, former prexy of ABC international operations John T. Healy has joined the board of directors of TV3's Luxembourg-based parent company, European Media Ventures. Healy will acquire a 12.32% stake in TV3.
