Ina Bernstein Sharr

Ina Bernstein Sharr, a theatrical agent, personal manager, casting executive and wife of the late theatrical manager Jules Sharr, died May 26 of natural causes at her home in Los Angeles. She was 75.

Following graduation from NYU with a degree in film, Sharr worked in New York for MCA and later Ashley Famous, where she helped nurture the budding careers of such young actors as Paul Newman, Anthony Perkins and Joanne Woodward.

During the 1970s, she served as VP of talent and television packaging at IFA and then ICM, where her roster of clients included Jane Alexander, Loretta Swit, Lee Remick, Maureen Stapleton and Stephanie Zimbalist.

In the 1980s, she moved to ABC and held executive posts in casting and miniseries. In recent years, she continued to guide the careers of Swit, Nancy Sinatra and Clifton Davis.

She is survived by a sister and other family members.

Family suggests donations in her name be made to Actors and Others for Animals.
