Pilar Cerveris

Pilar Cerveris, former actress and mother of writer-producer Dean Devlin, died Sunday of lung cancer at her home in Los Angeles. She was 62.

Cerveris, who acted under the name Pilar Seurat, essayed numerous roles on TV shows including "Star Trek," "Bonanza" and "Hawaii Five-0."

A native of Manila, she immigrated to Los Angeles in 1945, where she began her career as a dancer and later as one of the featured hoofers in "Ken Murray's Blackouts."

In addition to her son, she is survived by her sister, Angela Hernandez; her half-sister, Alana Lambros, a TV producer; two nieces; and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name be made to Israel Cancer Research Foundation, 8383 Wilshire Blvd., Ste. 341, Beverly Hills, CA 90211.
