USC sets Sherman scholarship
Students studying intellectual property eligible for funds
The Roger Sherman Memorial Prize will be bestowed each year upon an individual who demonstrates academic promise and dedication to a course of study in the area of Intellectual Property. The first nod will be handed out during the next academic year.
"His legacy will live in perpetuity through the hard work, achievement and dedication of talented students, in whose name Roger's memory will live on," said Matthew L. Spitzer, dean of the law school.
Sherman began practicing law in 1960 and remained in active practice until his death in September.
