The Washington lawmakers -- all from California -- included Reps. Lois Capps, Cal Dooley, Jane Harman, Mike Honda, Juanita Millender-McDonald, Loretta Sanchez and frosh lawmaker Adam Schiff.
Event was organized by the New Democrat Network, a fund-raising coalition that promotes moderate, centrist thinking. Org was founded by Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) and Sen. John Breaux (D-La.).
During a luncheon at Fox, pols and their supporters heard from Motion Picture Assn. Jack Valenti. Subject of the day was technology and the digital age.
Later, News Corp./Fox topper Peter Chernin was scheduled to throw a private reception at his home for the visiting lawmakers.
