Jack Murdock
A native of Ohio, Murdock was born to vaudevillian parents and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He began his acting career at Ohio State U. following the war and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in speech in 1950.
A sampling of his legit credits include "Twigs," "1776," "I Can't Hear You When the Water's Running" and "Magnificent Yankee."
His TV appearances included recurring roles on "The Young and the Restless" as well as on "Matlock," "Dynasty," "Barney Miller," "Hill Street Blues," "Kojak" and "Charlie's Angels."
He also appeared in several features including "Rain Man," "Big Top Pee-wee," "Psycho III" and "Altered States."
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bette; a son and daughter; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Family suggests donations in his name be made to the Actor's Fund.
