Solomon ankles Univision sports

Prexy to pursue other jobs in sports industry

MIAMI -- Univision sports division prexy Stephen Solomon has ankled the leading U.S. Hispanic net.

In a statement, Solomon said he was leaving to pursue other opportunities in the sports industry.

Univision did not name a replacement.

Solomon played a significant role in the net's purchase of rights to the 2002 and 2006 World Cup and the 2001 and 2003 Copa America soccer tourneys.
