Helmer Gorris set to light 'Ashes'

Dali/Lorca romance provides plot for pic project

LONDON -- Marleen Gorris, director of Academy Award-winner "Antonia's Line," will helm "Little Ashes," a $10 million co-production between Amsterdam-based Egmond and U.S. indie Main Man for London startup Wanton Muse.

The project, co-funded equally by Main Man and Egmond, is skedded to lens in October. Screenplay by first-time scribe Philippa Goslett centers on the love affair between surrealist Salvador Dali and poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Gorris' previous features include "Mrs. Dalloway" and "The Luzhin Defence."
