'Traffic' blitzes competish
Clean living filters through Prism Awards

The org, which held its fifth annual Prism Awards ceremony Wednesday night at CBS' Television City, gives kudos to works that accurately depict drug, alcohol and tobacco use in film, television and comic books.
Other winners included CBS' defunct "Cosby" and HBO's "Sex and the City" in TV comedy categories, while NBC's "Third Watch" and "ER" took TV drama victories.
Hosts Jamie Lee Curtis and Richard Lewis set the evening off on the right foot by trying to keep the mood upbeat amid the serious cause. Lewis said the awards were "honoring me, because I've accurately depicted addiction for years."
Clean living was one of the themes of the evening, with bottles of mineral water and huge platters of sushi and shrimp colorfully decorating each table.
Producer Hank Saroyan said, "People say there are too many awards shows, but America needs this is one, because it could actually save someone's life."
Clean and sober and on the scene were winners Charles S. Dutton and Noah Wyle and presenters Brian L. Dyak, EIC CEO; Alan I. Leshner, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse; Hector Elizondo, Terry Farrell, Kelsey Grammer, Saverio Guerra, Melissa Joan Hart, Bruce Jenner, T'keyah Crystal Keymah, Christopher McDonald, Dr. Drew Pinsky with wife Susan, Hattie Smith, Shawnee Smith, Jeffrey Tambor and Julie Warner.
