Studios USA lifts Dellin to senior VP

Robert upped to VP research

Jeff Dellin, a Studios USA exec who played a significant role in developing the company's dual-platform distribution strategy, has been upped from VP to senior veep of research and program strategy. At the same time, Don Robert is being promoted to vice prexy of research from research director.

In the newly created post, Dellin will continue to report to Steve Rosenberg, prexy of Studios USA Domestic TV. He'll continue to oversee research functions for Studios USA, including firstrun and off-net syndication, network programming and ad sales, and he'll remain actively involved in Studios USA's programming strategy, as well as market analysis for all areas of TV programming.

He was integral to the development of the company's unusual dual broadcast and cable distribution strategy, which Studios USA has utilized for the syndie and Sci Fi Channel hits "Crossing Over With John Edward" and "The Invisible Man."

He joined the studio, then MCA TV (which later became Universal Television Group and Studios USA) in 1989 as a research analyst and moved his way up to VP in 1996, and then department head, taking the added responsibility of program strategy two years later.

Robert joined the company in 1999 after nearly 13 years at Katz Media, where he was VP and director of research and marketing. He'll continue to report to Dellin and oversee day-to-day operations of the research department.

Robert also will provide research analysis and create sales presentations for local market syndication, ad sales and program sales to cable and broadcast nets.
