LONDON -- Civilian Content, the production group that owns lotto franchise the Film Consortium, has reported a loss of £1.63 million ($2.31 million) in 2000 on sales of $5.7 million.
The sales figure was more than six times higher than in the previous year, resulting from the company's acquisition of the Film Consortium.
The loss, compared with a profit of $2.4 million in 1999, also reflected Civilian's investment in transforming itself into a film and TV production group.
Pics upcoming releases for this year include "Dust," "51st State," "A Christmas Carol" and "24 Hour Party People."
