Art Frankel
Art Frankel, longtime studio executive, died Oct. 26 of heart failure at his home in Los Angeles. He was 72.
Following graduation from UCLA Law School, Frankel began his career as an attorney for Screen Gems on the Columbia lot and eventually became head of Columbia's TV division.
During the 1970s, he was a member of the troika that ran Paramount Television. Frankel also enjoyed stints as an exec Lorimar, Fox and Spelling.
Some of his career highlights included involvement with the making of "Brian's Song" and "QB VII."
He is survived by his wife Barbara and two sons, Barden and Darren, an associate producer.
