Viacom to bring 'Wars' stateside

"Robot Wars," the BBC cult TV series from U.K. indie the Television Corp., is coming to the States, via Viacom.

Show, which pits homemade robots against inhouse robots in violent combat, will air on Viacom's Nickelodeon, MTV and TNN webs.

Viacom intends to adapt the existing U.K. series for American auds and also produce a U.S. version.
