Rudner inks Las Vegas gig

Comedian will perform 6 shows per week at Cabaret

LAS VEGAS -- Comedian Rita Rudner is returning to the Strip. She is expected to announce today that she has signed a pact with New York-New York Hotel & Casino, making her the first headliner in the property's five- year history.

Rudner will perform six shows per week in the new 400-seat Cabaret Theater, currently under construction, for an indefinite engagement.

Rudner is skedded to begin her standup stint on April 20.

Last year, she performed at New York-New York's sister property, the MGM Grand, selling nearly 100,000 seats in a six-month period.

Other entertainment at New York-New York includes the ongoing production show "Lord of the Dance."
