Victory Media, EM.TV still in talks

German media fund continuing talks, sez spokeswoman

LONDON -- German media fund Victory Media has denied reports that it has canceled its deal with EM.TV to put up DM500 million ($229.13 million) in financing.

A company spokeswoman confirmed that for its latest tranche of film funding, the MultiMedia Funds 19, the company would be working exclusively with its L.A.-based production partner, the DeAngelis Group, and not with EM.TV.

But she added that a text contained in the fund's prospectus saying that the company would not be working with EM.TV referred only to this fund.

"We are currently in talks about how to continue the cooperation," she said. "We have not canceled our deal with EM.TV, and something will be announced shortly."
