Magnum fires up Yudin
Exec's 1st series is Canadian 'Live Through This'

Yudin's first series at Magnum Prods. is "Live Through This," a made-in-Canada hour that consists of 13 scripted episodes following four members of an '80s rock band who reunite for a comeback. Yudin worked on the series during his previous job as prexy of Telescene Entertainment, which produced it in Canada for MTV.
Magnum has bought U.S. distribution rights to the 13 hours, and also has the right to put "Live through This" back into production for sale to a broadcast or cable network. Yudin says that a strike by American actors and writers would not affect production of the series, which qualifies as 100% Canadian content.
On the runway
Yudin will work on the annual special "Ford Supermodel of the World," which represents the climax of contests in 40 countries to choose the finalists for the supermodel crown. Yudin's interest in this spec is no accident: Magnum has engineered a letter of intent to buy Ford Models as part of Magnum's strategy to add talent management to its businesses, according to Magnum prexy-CEO Bob Gutkowski.
Gutkowski is the former president of Madison Square Garden and, before that, a top sales exec at Paramount TV. His partner in the New York-based Magnum is Charles Koppelman, chairman of the company.
