Rob Maresca, exec veep of strategy and planning at Pittard Sullivan, has ankled the branding giant to form Rocket Brand and Strategic Services in Santa Monica. Maresca's firm will specialize in creating brands and developing strategic planning for a wide array of clients in the areas of entertainment, technology and distribution. During his three-year tenure at Pittard Sullivan, Maresca supervised the branding and strategic planning for dozens of clients worldwide, including TV Guide, OpenTV, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Deutsche Telekom. Before that, Maresca was head of marketing for both Hanna-Barbera and Tyco Toys, and previously spent 10 years as a marketing executive with a number of advertising agencies in New York and Los Angeles.
