Company to up Walker to CEO

This story was corrected on February 26, 2001.

The Television Corp., a TV facilities and production company based in London, will announce today that it will acquire Hollywood post group Pacifica Media Affiliates.

As part of the move, Television Corp. will promote PMA prexy Galen Walker to chief exec, replacing outgoing Dana Arnold. Television Corp. will up its previous 50% stake in PMA to 75%, with Walker and exec director Ricky DeLena retaining the balance of ownership.

Television also will reconfigure the PMA board, with newly appointed Terry Bate replacing the resigned Hal Katersky. Financial terms of the takeover weren't immediately available.

PMA's operating businesses include Echo Sound Services, Weddington Prods., Pacifica Sound Group, Digital Sound Works and Larson Sound Center. The businesses collectively form the Los Angeles area's second-biggest group of independent post-production sound facilities after those operated by Liberty Livewire.
