Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie will make her first presenter appearance during this year's March 25 Oscar telecast.
Thesp, who garnered a supporting actress trophy last year for "Girl, Interrupted," recently wrapped the actioner "Tomb Raider" and will soon be seen opposite Antonio Banderas in "Original Sin."
In addition, the Academy confirmed Friday that Chi-based manufacturer R.S. Owens has begun production on 55 new statuettes for the 2002 kudos. After last year's Oscar theft, the Acad wants to make sure it has more than enough statues in supply.
