Voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences must have their completed nomination ballots for the 73rd annual Academy Awards in the hands of PricewaterhouseCoopers by 5 p.m. PST Friday. Any ballot that arrives after that deadline will not be counted.
All eligible members of the Academy may cast their vote in the best picture category, while Acad members in nine branches will nominate achievements in 15 categories. Films submitted in the documentary, foreign-lingo, makeup, shorts, sound editing and visual effects categories are screened and selected by special voting groups of AMPAS members.
Oscar nominations will be announced at 5:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at AMPAS' BevHills headquarters.
