PARK CITY, Utah -- The fourth annual Slamdunk Film Festival wrapped Tuesday with Janeane Garofalo introducing a screening of Stephen Kessler's comedy "The Independent," for which Garofalo was awarded the fest's best actress nod.

Sara Thorpe received the best new filmmaker award with "See Jane Run," a world premiere produced by "Swingers" director Doug Liman.

Audience choice award went to "Green Diggity Dog," written and directed by former U.S. Olympic ski jumper Hoot Maynard, while Miles Kahn's "Fly Trap" nabbed the best short film prize (and later a distribution pact with AtomFilms).

A mockumentary, "The Independent" stars Garofalo as the daughter of B-movie king Morty Fineman, played by Jerry Stiller. Pic includes cameos by Ron Howard, Roger Corman and Ben Stiller.

Filmed in and around Park City and other parts of Utah, "Green Diggity Dog" stars Jon Huertas ("Sabrina, the Teenage Witch"), David Bannick ("Dude, Where's My Car?"), newcomer Valerie Ianiello and Joe Esteves.

In "Dog," a bellhop discovers a dead hotel guest lying on the floor of his suite, a lot of peanut butter and $3 million in cash. When the bellhop tries to split town with his g.f., a disgruntled mobster gives chase.
