PGA to fete HBO's Albrecht

HBO prexy to receive TV showmanship award

The Publicists Guild of America has tapped Home Box Office prexy of original programming Chris Albrecht to receive its television showmanship award.

The honor will be presented to Albrecht at the org's 38th annual awards luncheon, March 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The guild cited Albrecht's contributions to programs such as "The Sopranos," "Sex and the City," "The Chris Rock Show," "Dennis Miller Live," "From the Earth to the Moon," "Martin," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Roc" and "The Ben Stiller Show," as well as theatrical film "Martin Lawrence You So Crazy."

"Chris Albrecht is being recognized for the extraordinary flair for showmanship he has demonstrated in the production and programming of outstanding original series and movies on HBO," awards committee chairman Henri Bollinger said.
