Fox News taps Magee programming VP

Exec to o'see all news, including the primetime lineup

NEW YORK -- Former CNBC exec Kevin Magee has joined Fox News Channel as vice president of news programming.

Magee will oversee all news programming, including the network's primetime lineup; he will report directly to Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes. He replaces senior VP of programming Chet Collier, who retired last year.

"Kevin's exceptional background in news producing and talent relations will make him a first-rate addition to the Fox News executive team," Ailes said.

Last month, Magee ankled his post as executive producer of business news at CNBC, where he was responsible for managing the 4-8 p.m. block of programming, including "Business Center."

Prior to CNBC, Magee worked at ABC News' "Good Morning America," first as a broadcast producer and later as senior program producer.
