India's Popular preps plexes

Media company Popular Entertainment has announced an investment of $43 million to set up a film city and multiplexes in Rajasthan.

The 150-acre entertainment and commercial complex will be in the city of Jodhpur, with multiplexes in Jodhpur, Jaipur and Udaipur.

PEN chairman and managing director Jayantilal Gada said the complex will have a safari park and meditation center, while the film studios will have luxury hotels and other amenities. Completion date for all facilities is set for 2006.
