Wang, Ponce, Montanus ABC sales sr. VPs

Two to report to prexy Shaw, one to exec VP Nathanson

NEW YORK -- Geri Wang, Cynthia Ponce and Gary Montanus have been appointed senior vice presidents for sales at the ABC Television Network.

Wang has been promoted to senior VP of primetime sales, replacing Laura Nathanson, who was upped to exec VP and national sales manager in September. Ponce has been promoted to senior VP of news sales, and Gary Montanus has been appointed senior VP of the Disney Kids Network, replacing Dan Barnathan, who will stay on with ABC as a consultant.

Ponce and Montanus will report to Mike Shaw, president of sales and marketing for the ABC Television Network, while Wang will report to Nathanson.

Wang, who joined ABC in 1990, was most recently senior account executive in primetime sales for ABC. Since joining ABC in May 1985, Ponce has held various posts, most recently VP of news, early morning and latenight sales. Montanus was most recently exec VP of content acquisition and ad sales at Microcast, an Internet video-streaming service based in Danbury, Conn.

All three execs will be based in New York.
