Formatt, Millennium pact

Thriller 'Pursued' is first project under distrib deal

HOLLYWOOD -- Andrew Form and Matthew Resnik, via their Formatt Films banner, have inked an output deal with Avi Lerner's Millennium Films.

Formatt will produce projects of all budget levels, with Millennium distributing the pics worldwide. At least two films are set to be shot before any potential strikes; a third film is a possibility, pending time constraints.

The first project is "Pursued," penned by Peter Lenkov ("Demolition Man"). Jeffrey Celentano ("Gun Shy") will direct.

The thriller centers on a rising star in the software industry stalked by a corporate headhunter who will stop at nothing to get him to sign on for his next executive position. Pic is slated to begin lensing in Toronto in April.

Formatt was established in September by Resnik and Form. Form most recently produced the Universal release "Kissing a Fool" and the upcoming pic "The Shrink Is In," starring Courteney Cox Arquette.

Form previously worked for Jerry Bruckheimer. Resnik has worked as an entertainment attorney.
