Gaylord tunes up web in Argentina

World Brief

Along with its Latin American partner Ashmore, Gaylord Cable Networks last week launched MusicCountry Latin America in Argentina.

A full-time Spanish-language music network geared toward the adult 25-54 Latin market, the channel offers a mix of videos and docus as well as shows hosted by local veejays. It also features a broad range of musical styles, including rock, Latin pop, country, R&B and Latin rock.

MusicCountry's debut as a 24-hour channel in Argentina is part of Gaylord's ongoing global broadband strategy. An English-language MusicCountry web recently debuted in the Asia-Pacific Rim region; a Portuguese version will bow in Brazil in Feb. 1.
