'Big Bro' Italo VIP spec set

World Brief

After the success of "Grande Fratello," the Italo version of "Big Brother," Mediaset VP programming Pier Silvio Berlusconi said that the network will soon launch a special "Grande Fratello -VIP."

In the new show, which will last 10 days, 10 TV celebrities will be secluded in a house, with TV viewers voting each day to decide who must leave.

The show will go up against the Sanremo Music Festival, the pop music event traditionally broadcast by Mediaset archrival RAI over a week, and always one of the top 10 programs in the annual rankings.
