THX, Dell pact for sound PCs

The THX Group of Lucasfilm Ltd. is expanding into the certification of personal computers. Select PCs developed by Dell will include settings for THX audio and video performance that includes the company's THX Picture and Sound Optimizer program. "Our objective with this new program is to do for the PC what we did for the movies and home theater -- to provide standards to ensure the best possible picture and sound," said Monica Dashwood, Lucasfilm THX general manager.
