Par preps Maltin review/info show

'Hot Ticket' could be intro'd at NATPE for 2001

Paramount Domestic Television is readying what sources dub a "new generation" movie and entertainment review show with Leonard Maltin as the key contributor of reviews and pic info.

A pilot is being prepped for "Hot Ticket," a half-hour, fast-paced magazine-style show designed to play in a variety of dayparts. It will likely be offered at NATPE as a weekly series for the fall 2001 season.

Par is talking to E! Entertainment Network personality Todd Newton to host the show, which will include reviews and behind-the-scenes info on movie openings and DVD releases.

Maltin has a longstanding relationship with Par, as "Entertainment Tonight's" film historian and special correspondent.

A Paramount spokesman declined to comment on the project.
