WMA's Lee leaves to take CAA post

Ankling follows many changes at Gotham percentery

HOLLYWOOD -- Eunice Lee, an agent at the William Morris Agency's Gotham offices for more than five years, is ankling the percentery for Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles, a spokeswoman for CAA confirmed.

While at William Morris, Lee worked with such New York-based WMA clients as Wes Bentley, Mira Sorvino, musician-cum-thesp Marc Anthony and John Leguizamo.

It is still unclear which, if any, clients may be following Lee to CAA in Los Angeles, according to insiders at both agencies.

Reached at her home in Manhattan late Friday evening, Lee declined to comment on her list of WMA clients or on whether she'd bring any of them to her new post at CAA.

A spokesman for WMA declined to comment, citing a policy of not discussing personnel matters at the shop.

WMA's Gotham operations have been through substantial changes and restructuring in the 12 months since the ascent of former ICM co-topper Jim Wiatt: In just over a year, longtime WMA fixtures Johnnie Planco, Frank Frattaroli and Gene Parseghian all left the office to become managers. Longtime WMA agent Carol Yumkas also departed the New York office, as did WMA agent Craig Gering -- who, like Lee, headed for CAA.

Last June, WMA's veteran theater topper George P. Lane expanded his purview to head up the agency's East Coast motion picture division, and just two weeks ago, WMA agent Mike Lubin ankled the New York shop to head the Gersh Agency's motion picture lit operation in Gotham.

But even with all the recent agent tumult, WMA's sizable roster of New York talent includes Ashley Judd, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Bacon, Willem Dafoe, Oliver Platt and Morgan Freeman -- and predictably, WMA agency insiders downplayed Lee's departure.
