Mantegna helms 'Lakeboat'

Artist View Entertainment has picked up worldwide distribution rights to the David Mamet penned project "Lakeboat." Joe Mantegna is making his directorial debut with the feature, which is about life on a freighter on the Great Lakes as seen through the eyes of an Ivy league student who spends a summer working on the boat.

Pic's cast includes Charles Durning, Peter Falk, Denis Leary and Robert Forester.
