Walt Disney Pictures gave 50,000 of its closest friends an unforgettable evening at the premiere of "Remember the Titans" Saturday night at the Rose Bowl.

Emceed by KCBS sportscaster Jim Hill, event featured a flyover of two F-16s, parachutists (complete with helmet cam), the USC marching band, spectacular fireworks and a parade of athletic greats such as Mike Singletary and Michelle Kwan.

As for the pic, it unspooled simultaneously on four screens. "I've never seen anything like it," raved helmer Boaz Yakin.

Disney's Peter Schnieder thought the evening was the perfect kickoff to the studio's fall lineup. "It's a very inspiring movie," he said. And producer Jerry Bruckheimer agreed: "It's about how these two men bring people together, doing the right thing ... triumph of universal good is the theme."

Denzel Washington, riding a golf cart with his co-stars, also played to the fans' emotion. "This is a film about all of you, whether black, white or Hispanic. It's about what happens when we all get together."

Those getting together included pic's Will Patton, Kate Bosworth, Donald Faison and Ryan Gosling; scribe Gregory Allen Howard; Disney's Nina Jacobson, Dick Cook and Thomas Schumacher; and Buena Vista marketing co-prexies Geoffrey Ammer and Oren Aviv; guests Tobey Maguire, LeAnn Rimes and Kim Delaney.

The Middle-East International Film Festival kicks off this fall.
