Moore, Jones mull roles in 'Evolution'

Seann William Scott ("Road Trip") also recently inked a deal for another role in the Ivan Reitman comedy, and final details of Duchovny's deal are being ironed out as well.
The DreamWorks-based Montecito Picture Co. will produce the pic, storyline of which revolves around what happens to a group of misfits when a meteor carrying alien organisms crashes in the New Mexico desert and threatens to take over the world.
Script is from Don Jakoby ("Vampires," "Arachnophobia"), David Diamond ("The Family Man") and David Weissman ("The Family Man").
Reitman is helming and exec producing with Tom Pollock and David Rogers. Producers include Daniel Goldberg ("Road Trip"), Joe Medjuck ("Road Trip") and Jeff Apple ("In the Line of Fire").
DreamWorks' Marc Haimes is the studio's creative exec in charge of the project.
It's been a busy year for Jones, who's coming off a starring role in the Warner Bros.'s gridiron laffer, "The Replacements," and who'll be seen in Fox's "Bedazzled" and then topline the Disney comedy "Double Take," to be released in January. Jones will also co-star in the Farrelly Bros.' produced comedy "Say It Isn't So" for Fox skedded for a February release.
In addition to all that, Columbia Pictures is developing the comedy "The Reverend Pimp Daddy," based on a pitch from Jones that 3 Arts Entertainment is producing.
Jones is managed by 3 Arts Entertainment and is repped by the William Morris Agency and by attorney Cliff Gilbert-Lurie.
