Pic is one of several that Jon Turteltaub ("Phenomenon") is considering directing. Disney hopes to begin lensing in February.
Buena Vista Motion Picture Group exec veep Mark Vahradian and VP Jason Reed will oversee "Black Sheep" for the Mouse House. Mike Stenson and Chad Oman will handle the project at Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
Story centers on a street-wise African-American who is called upon by the CIA to step in for his Harvard-educated twin who recently died. The protagonist must quickly become an operative on an important mission -- the one which his late sibling had been working.
Richman, a professional musician-turned scribe, is currently rewriting the script -- his first studio assignment.
Turteltaub is repped by Endeavor; Bruckheimer by CAA. Richman is repped by Cory Concoff at the Bauer Co. and attorney Matt Johnson at Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca and Fischer.
