Glass to ink lawyer laffer

The Walt Disney Co. has tapped Adam Glass to pen an untitled comedy that will feature Anthony Anderson in the title role.

Prolific Bob Simmonds, who is producing the Mouse House's "Corky Romano" starring Chris Kattan, will produce. Anderson will serve as exec producer and help in the writing duties. Simmonds' prexy of production, Tracey Trench, will also exec produce.

Glass and Anderson conceived the project together; they are developing "Ho-Ho Bro" at USA Films.

Story centers on a Beverly Hills law firm that needs a token black to argue various cases. When Anderson's character gets the job, he proves that he's no token.

Mouse House exec veep Mark Vahradian and creative exec Michael Haynes will oversee the project for the studio.

Since his co-starring turn in Fox's "Me, Myself and Irene" and "Big Mamma's House," Anderson has been pursued by multiple studios and pro-ducers.

Anderson is managed by Princi-pato-Young, as is Glass. Anderson's attorney is Rick Genow at Stone, Meyer and Genow. Glass's attorney is David Feldman at Bloom, Hergott, Diemer and Cook.
