Turner nets speak Spanish

Argentina joins Brazil, Mexico with Cartoon Net, TNT feeds

MIAMI -- Turner Latam bowed dedicated feeds of its Cartoon Network and TNT channels for Argentina on Monday.

The new feeds mark the first time Turner Latam has tailored a Spanish-lingo net specifically for Argentina.

Cartoon Network introduced a Mexico-only feed in 1999; TNT launched a Mexico signal in March of this year. They operate Portuguese-lingo channels for Brazil.

Cartoon Network has close to 13 million subs throughout Latin America, including Brazil, while TNT has some 12.4 million subs.

Turner Latam said the new feeds will allow both channels to tailor their programming, on-air promotion and advertising for Argentina, the region's No. 3 pay TV market.
