In-motion pacts to produce two TV projects

Frankfurt co. joins Alliance for 'Invinsible,' 'Shadows'

By ED MEZA

BERLIN -- German entertainment outfit In-Motion is joining Alliance Atlantis in co-producing two TV projects: the much-hyped actioner "Invincible," from producers Mel Gibson and Jet Li, and the miniseries "Me and My Shadows," based on the book by Lorna Luft.

In-Motion execs put the budget for both projects at $20 million. If the "Invincible" pilot is picked up by cabler TBS, company is prepared to co-produce at least three seasons.

"Me and My Shadows," an adaptation of Luft's autobiographical account of her relationship with mother Judy Garland, started shooting earlier this month in Toronto. Mini is set to premiere on ABC during the 2000-01 season. Alliance Atlantis is taking care of worldwide sales for the project.

Frankfurt-based In-Motion went public in June. In July it acquired a majority stake in L.A.-based Myriad Pictures. The film, TV and music company posted revenues of about $13 million last year; this year execs expect annual figures to reach some $40 million.
