Endeavor will rep Sonnenfeld
Producer returns to directing with 'Trouble'

Sonnenfeld, who begins production today in Miami on the Touchstone adaptation of the Dave Barry comic novel "Big Trouble," has been making changes in his life as he returns to merely directing films, as opposed to producing and developing them.
That decision prompted Sonnenfeld and Josephson to dissolve their company this summer. Sonnenfeld had been repped by CAA, which handled him for about five years and which has completed most of the negotiating on his deal to follow "Big Trouble," directing a sequel to his smash hit "Men in Black."
Sonnenfeld said that he will be represented by agency partners Marty Adelstein and Steve Rabineau. "I just felt I needed a change and I will lean on them to help me find material and future projects," said Sonnenfeld.
As "MIB2" deals with Sonnenfeld, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are nearly done, the Amblin-produced sequel to Columbia's biggest grossing film will be his next assignment after "Big Trouble," Sonnenfeld said.
After that, Sonnenfeld will fill a directing obligation he owes Disney, with the likely candidates an adaptation of the James Ellroy book "White Noise" or a remake of the Alec Guinness-Peter Sellers comedy "The Ladykillers" which was scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen. The Endeavor crew will look for opportunities to follow those films.
