'Proof' moving into B'way's Kerr

Auburn play goes big-time with Sullivan, Parker

"Proof," the David Auburn play that closed an extended sellout run at Off Broadway's Manhattan Theater Club on Sunday, will reopen Oct. 10 at the Walter Kerr Theater.

The play will begin previews Oct. 10 for an Oct. 24 opening. Director Daniel Sullivan and lead Mary Louise Parker are confirmed for the Broadway run.

"Proof" becomes the second play from MTC's just-ended season to move to Broadway. Charles Busch's "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife" has already announced a Nov. 2 opening at the Ethel Barrymore.

The Broadway run is being produced by MTC along with Roger Berlind, Carole Shorenstein Hays, Jujamcyn Theaters, Ostar Enterprises, Daryl Roth and Stuart Thompson.
