Distrib Sunfilm rises

Distrib Sunfilm is ramping up its activities. Managing director Suzanna Drazilova said the 2-year-old company will release two films monthly beginning in August.

Sunfilm is the leading local distributor of independent U.S. product.

On its fall roster are "The Cider House Rules" and Andrzej Wajda's historical epic "Pan Tadeusz." Sunfilm will open the latter in mid-September.

Drazilova expects strong attendance in the Polish border regions of the country. Pic was a blockbuster in Poland, where it drew 6 million admissions.
