Galaxy, BV ink PPV deal for Disney pix

Buena Vista Intl. and satcaster Galaxy Latam have inked a pay per view deal for Mouse House pics in Spanish-lingo markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The 10-year accord gives Galaxy Latam's DirecTV service PPV movie rights to live-action feature films from Disney, Touchstone, Hollywood and Miramax Pictures.

Galaxy Latam already has a 10-year satellite exclusive on the Disney Channel Latam, which will launch in Spanish-lingo markets July 27. Web will be available to cablers only as a premium channel.

Galaxy Latam offers DirecTV in 27 countries. Satcaster is backed by Hughes Electronics and the Cisneros Group.
