Film series honors thesp Mastroianni

A series of films commemorating the work of the late Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni opened July 5 in Rome at the National Gallery of Modern Art.

The interdisciplinary project combines one film with painting and music shows in each of 10 Italian cities. Event is promoted by the Marcello Mastroianni Center, founded a year ago in Rome by Nobel Prize-winner Dario Fo, who's president, filmmakers Anna Maria Tato and Ettore Scola, critic Tullio Kezich and others.
