Warner Home Video presented $2,500 to PAWS L.A., an animal organization that provides food and veterinary care for the animals of pet owners with life-threatening illnesses.
Dogs were given bow ties and biscuits at the red-carpet event July 11, promoting what Muniz proclaimed as "the best movie I've ever seen in my whole life."
Russell, a big fan of family films, was inspired by "Old Yeller," "Babe," "Cinema Paradiso" and "The Black Stallion." He joked about his leading man's best friend saying, "I swore I would never work with him again." But then he smiled and said that "kids can enjoy the fun of growing up with their friend -- who might be a dog."
