CEO/prexy Miller ankles Par Home Ent.

International vet to pursue new interests

After 20 years of service for CIC and more recently Paramount, Paul Miller has ankled his post as prexy and CEO of Paramount Home Entertainment Intl. in order to pursue new interests.

Miller, who has been with the London banner since its break last year from international homevid and DVD entity CIC, will step down July 28.

Until recently, CIC served as international distributor for Par, Universal, DreamWorks, Nickelodeon and MTV.

Friend departing

"Paul has been a friend and partner in the Paramount family for many years," said Eric Doctorow, prexy of Paramount Home Entertainment Worldwide. "Paul has demonstrated a unique ability to manage the international video business in new and creative ways. I am grateful for the professional way in which he managed the transition from being an international joint venture to a wholly owned subsidiary of Paramount."

Miller joined CIC as a finance director when the company formed in 1980. He moved to Germany as a managing director in 1983, returning to London in a VP post three years later. In 1994, Miller was named CEO.

Business developed

During his tenure, Miller was involved in developing business in Japan, Australia, South Korea and Brazil. In recent years, he oversaw the DVD launch in Europe and Japan.

"It has been a privilege to be associated with the staff and executives of the CIC joint venture with Paramount," said Miller.
