Netcaster Centerseat inks with ActiveSky
P'gramming to be available on handheld devices
"Wireless and mobile is an important focus area for us," said Centerseat CEO Scott Harmolin. "In addition to highlighting Centerseat's music, sports, lifestyle and entertainment programming, ActiveSky is the perfect fit for the set of business applications that we are launching."
To access Centerseat's content, Netizens must download the free ActiveSky Media Player onto their hand-held devices.
Users then download select Centerseat film trailers, films, musicvids and sports highlights, as well as e-commerce opportunities.
ActiveSky's technology can process video, hi-fi audio and graphics on Windows CE or Microsoft's Pocket PCs.
Recently, Centerseat partnered with Miramax to host an online press tour for upcoming laffer "Scary Movie."
In addition, Seattle-based Netcaster Honkworm announced Thursday that it has also pacted with ActiveSky, making its original content available via mobile devices.
This past April, AtomFilms and Microsoft Corp. were the first to form a short-film alliance in the wireless world, signing a deal making AtomFilm's content available on Pocket PCs.
